bookmarking this post now....when I went to Southport, my wife and I just walked around the town all day. It was a blast to just walk along and see the house that Jack and Dawson painted....wonderful trip....ahhhh....the memories!

I know Southport is so pretty and has many sites to see there. My favorite was Potter's Seafood from the episode Longest Day. That and the anchor from Franklin Square Park. We were so excited to find that!

Loved Southport! They were setting up for some type of arts & crafts festival when I was there and the anchor was partially obscured by tents and what-not. I remember seeing the swing and wondering why they painted it such an awful green! Yuck!

last year i took my two sisters to see southport on the way to wilmington and they both fell in love ,,,,,,,,,,,showed them the dc places i knew of ,,,,,,,,,,
i enjoy southport alot ,but im a wilmington boy
i still get a rush each trip over that capefear bridge and seeing downtown wilmington below,,
