I just started watching season 5 and I know that they didnt film in Boston, but I wish they had. Being from New Hampshire..Im not far from Boston and I wish they would have used more shots from the actual city. It would have been neat to have a DC location closer to home as well!

Also, its ironic that Joshua Jackson's new show Fringe takes place in Boston too!

All 6 seasons of the Show have major authenticity issues with New England, but the worst is definitely the last 2 seasons.

In your case, Sarah it would have been nice if they filmed the show Boston, but with production based in Wilmington, NC it would have been a logisitcal nightmare filming in Boston.

It was already bad enough that they had to do a lot of production in Raleigh/Durham 2 hours+ from Wilmington for the last 2 seasons.

Is Fringe actually filmed in Boston!? If it is Ill have to spend some more time there. Have fun in Boston there is so much to do!! Take advantage of the T its always interesting!

No its not filmed in Boston I was only joking. It looks like its filmed in New York actually and parts of Canada..
yeah I'm going with my bestfriend and she's from there so we'll stay with her family and we have a ton planned! I can't wait cuz I've never been there...

and yeah chowder is good but i know we'll be eating so much good stuff

Fringe is filming in Vancouver full time now - or at least that's what I read. I think they were filming somewhere on the East coast for the first season.
